Village Stories

As a follow on from the Storycollector project, funding through the Integration Resources Network, enabled us to run a six month storymaking class which involved refugees, asylum seekers and local people.

Liam Stewart again ran this lively creative writing class, which itself was followed on by Kitchens, a project funded by the Scottish Refugee Council and run by conFAB and The Village. One of the stories has appeared in the Greater Pollok Post and the Big Issue has published excerpts as well.

The two projects culminated in an event held at The Village in Refugee Week in June 2005, when the book was launched and delicious food was shared by participants and friends. Copies of the book are available for purchase priced £4.00 by contacting Margaret .
