skills sharing: intergenerational project

The Village has been delivering an innovative intergenerational project at St Monica’s Primary School with the support of artist Belinda Gilbert Scott. 

The work has provided a fantastic opportunity for children and Village volunteers to build friendships and understanding.   

The children particularly enjoyed working with the volunteers in creating puppets, old fashioned stilts, hoola hoops and other games of the past.  The children and volunteers are looking forward to another chance to  exchange  experiences and develop storytelling skills in a second series of workshops in the  2009-10 academic year.
