The Village is a storytelling centre based in St James' (Pollok) Parish Church.

We bring people together through storytelling, to empower communities, to promote communication within them and to enable individuals to realise their potential.

We aim to:

Empower people to learn about themselves and each other, as the basis for meaningful and creative relationships.

Enhance understanding and mutual respect between individuals and groups within the community.

Create opportunities for volunteering within the area.

Promote access to education, training and employment by developing personal skills and self confidence.

Provide activities to challenge, motivate, excite and inspire.

Promote the study, practice and knowledge of storytelling, by perpetuating its traditional forms while exploring it as a means to contemporary expression.

Collaborate with other organisations to promote our shared values and aims.
