The Village Storytelling Centre seeks to offer the people of Greater Pollok and beyond a facility that provides a safe and welcoming environment in which to explore their roots and their relationship with the world around them.  This exploration will be opened up through story – traditional stories from other cultures, global stories from our world today, reminiscence, and stories from the Bible and other faiths.

In the execution of these activities the assistance of volunteers is needed to provide additional support to our staff member.

Helping at primary school visits will give you the chance to spend an interesting and enjoyable morning with children. Helping at reminiscence sessions with older people is a chance to meet folk in an informal setting, provide a cuppa and a biscuit, and listen to their stories

Prospective volunteers will be asked to attend sessions to observe at first and then attend training sessions on a regular basis for changing programmes.
